The Refurbishment

Since gaining planning permission in March 2007, it has been all hands on deck to turn Dunsley Hall into a luxurious boutique hotel.

The bedrooms have been turned into sumptuous, relaxing places to stay, all en-suite.  The Garden Room has had a huge makeover with an extension being added which looks out onto the terrace - a beautiful setting for weddings.

Once the Servant's Dining Room and Kitchen, our restaurant wraps itself around a large chimney breast and is now the perfect place for intimate dining. The original kitchen area still has an old gas light and meat hooks that hang as if waiting for the meat to be cured.  The Servants sitting room has a large handmade fireplace, and the exposed timber framing of the original building, this was unearthed when old plaster was removed, and the servants call box still looks as though it will ring at any moment - treasures of bygone days.  The old larder and wash room have been converted into the new kitchen with top of the range appliances, we are sorry to say the Aga had to go.

We are also trying to make Dunsley as self sufficient as possible, growing as many vegetables as we can, using solar panels to heat our water and using local companies to supply produce that we can't supply ourselves.

Some of the companies we can recommend that have taken Dunsley to heart and helped us with our mission of self sufficiency are:

Imperial Bathrooms

Worcester Bosch with Greenskies solar and ground source heating and energy efficient boilers

Carpets of Kidderminster
